Apr 17, 2018He was a retired inspector from Ford Motor Company and served his country in the U.S. Navy in Korean War. Bob was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and served as Deacon for the church, he was also a youth counselor and Deacon at Cleveland Baptist Church. He was a member of Masonic Lodge in Ohio, enjoyed going hunting and fishing.He was a trust worthy man, honorable, compassionate, generous, always hard working, faithful and most of all a great father. He was greatly loved and admired by all who met him. He had a way of making everyone feel needed and loved. He was "Papa" to many children — both blood relation and not. He had a lot of love to give and was generous with that love.Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Loretta, parents, William and Elva; brothers, Kenneth and Bill and brother-in-laws, Dude and Bill.He is survived by daughter, Barbetta, special companion, Sharon; brothers, Jennings of Ohio, Paul of Calif., Michael of North Carolina; sisters, Alma Jean of Ohio, Barbara of Ohio, Judy (Doug) of Ohio, Mary Francis (Tony) of North Carolina; In-laws, Connie (John), Cora (Jack), Shirley.Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Swor officiating.
